Hook, Line, and Sinker by Tessa Bailey

this book could’ve been soooooo good but this author can’t write a steamy scene to save her life???? Examples include referring to the leading lady as a sex kitten and “petting her cl*toris” because ummmm what ?? also “molding her buns in his hands” like how in the world is that supposed to be hot/sexy/seductive. like who is she writing that for ?????? im actually shocked i had to put the book down for good measure lol because i absolutely hate how authors can throw around the words “d*ck” and “c*ck” without a care in the world but just can’t say “v*gina” or “p*ssy” like why the double standard??? instead we get shit like “intimate flesh” LIKE FLESH??? god it’s so bad i wanna cry i feel robbed of something… because why is it
“pulling his tongue through the split of femininity”
instead of “pulling his tongue through the folds of her c*nt/p*ssy/v*gina”
… like i just don’t appreciate synonyms and metaphors during steamy/smutty scenes it’s cringey and weird but hey that’s just me personally. After reading “milking his thickness with her femininity” i skipped the rest of the s*x scenes because it was seriously diminishing the characters in my head. because WHO APPROVED THAT
