Shadow Witch by Kim Richardson

4.0

Shadow Witch is book one in the Witches of Hollow Cove sereis by Kim Richardson and narrated by Devon Sorvari.

It’s a decent start to the sereis. We are introduced to the town of Hollow Cove, its people and the Davenport family.

Our lead, Tessa is a very stubborn and determined women. When her Aunts work their magic in getting her involved in protecting the town, she learns more than she expected and finds her places in Hollow Cove.

The mystery of who is letting demons into the town and destroying the words keeps you guessing. Will Tessa save the town or will the town and its inhabitants be destroyed?

I very much enjoyed the vampire. He weeds his way into being Tessa’s friend and helping her out as she try's to solve the mystery and keep the town safe.

The romantic interest, Chief of Police Marcus, has a chip on his shoulder. So, him and Tessa get off on the wrong foot. He wants her gone and off the case and he does everything to make that happen. Will they mend fences or not?

The character development is well done. Their is suspense, action, and mystery.

Audio: Devon Sorvari did a wonderful job with all the voices. I very much enjoyed each characters unique voice. It fit their personality and supernatural. The characters stand out as individuals and I like that. Sorvari kept the story going and pulled out the mystery and magic.

Shadow Witch was a nice listen and a wonderful paranormal magical cozy mystery. I’m looking forward to listening on in the Witches of Hollow Cover series and seeing what develops next.
