The Invention of Hugo Cabret by Brian Selznick

4.0

Another book I read by the water. Absolute magic. It made me feel like a wonder-filled child again. The language was very simplistic and the plot was very basic, but the beautiful illustrations really sold it for me. I even teared-up a little at the end; I guess I was just really craving a story that has a simple, happy ending.

Funny how the weather worked with it; it started to rain when the third act conflict began; and then it became incredibly sunny at the end of the novel. Magical experience. 4 stars.
