This was kind of a crazy volume. It's mostly focused on the long-standing issue of the potential insect plague and famine which results in a lot of interesting background, politics, and action around the western capital. There were times I was worried it would turn into discussions of farming techniques but it never lingered too long on the minutiae before getting to some sort of interesting development. And there were a lot of interesting developments. Holy moly.

Basen's duck is hilarious. The dude is weirdly wholesome.

Maomao desperately trying to pretend nothing romantic is happening with Jinshi remains funny.
