John Boyne’s writing style clicks with me somehow, I physically cannot put his books down and am hooked from the offset. This historical subject matter in particular fascinates me but Boyne is also great at creating flawed, well rounded characters that we empathise with and are keen to follow throughout.
*I don’t think it’s fair to demonise Tristan - he was used and abused by Will throughout the whole book !!!
