This was my first DeLillo read, and on the heels of reading The Goldfinch, this settled in nicely with a similar reflective rhythm. The plot swirls around two individual responses to immeasurable trauma, a husband and wife caught up in the devastating tragedy of 9/11. I was riveted and late to work on the day I finished it.
