I absolutely loved Beach Read. I think this was the perfect book to kick off my summer reading. I loved the banter between January and Gus, it included many laugh out loud moments.
I really related to January when it came to her grief. Grief is full of so many complex emotions, sadness, anger, disappointment, the what if, and especially what could have been. I think Emily Henry did very well with the internal struggles the person who is left to continue living in the world deals with on a daily basis.
January and Gus are one of my all time favorite couples and I didn’t want their story to end. I wanted more! I hope this isn’t the last time we get to see these characters on a page. If you need a good summer read look no further and get Beach Read!
