Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury
5.0
Ray has a unique voice while offering a look into life with the government controlling available information. The scary reality that in order to effectively control people, you remove their ability to self-analyze, and that includes removing sources of information by any person.
This is a very important conversation, especially with republicans actively trying to close libraries and oversee what can and cannot be sold in commercial stores.
While Guy doesn't experience societal change, he offers the reader hope for future potential.
I will say, reading about books being set on fire was physically painful.
