Heartsick: Three Stories about Love, Pain, and What Happens in Between by Jessie Stephens

emotional reflective fast-paced

4.0

‘heartsick’ is a biographical book following three different people and their stories as they fall in love and eventually experience major heartbreak. the stories offer different perspectives on love and the different ways these people approach their heartbreak. it’s the type of book to provide comfort for those experiencing similar situations and was created to show people that they are not alone in their heartbreak.

now, i haven’t gone through any type of major heartbreak, so i may not be the target audience for this book; however, i still found the stories quite touching and engaging to read. while these stories are largely nonfiction, the book almost reads like a fiction which i think made it easier to grasp. the book is full of raw and honest emotions that i believe could resonate with many readers.

thank you henry holt books for gifting me an arc to review! the finished book comes out on june 7, 2022!
