This is definitely my favorite in the series so far. I loved how much focus was on the overarching plot, and I really enjoyed that Robbie’s issues didn’t stem from being abandoned by the Bennett pack, which books 1&2 heavily examined. There were two minor things that bothered me, both of which didn’t actually contribute to the main story, but it is why this book doesn’t get 5 stars. First, it bothered me that
Carter is made out to be some kind of an idiot. How does he get to be mayor, but doesn’t understand that the Timberwolf is his mate? Also, how does he not know this after 13+ months of this mysterious wolf just living with them?? His entire family is cool with this complete stranger living with them, but no one tells him/he doesn’t figure it out? Bffr. Also, Rico getting to live annoyed me. I love Rico, but the cop-out of saving humans by turning them into werewolves had been over done. His sacrifice would have been so much more impactful if he had truly died.
