Vegan Comfort Cooking: 75 Plant-Based Recipes to Satisfy Cravings and Warm Your Soul by Melanie McDonald

5.0

I have tried about 85% of the recipes in this lovely book and enjoyed every one! And my kids ate and enjoyed them as well which is always a plus! All the recipes were hearty, flavorful and delicious.
I appreciated McDonald's simple ingredients. Most times people say they are hesitant to try a vegan cookbook because of hard to find and sometimes expensive ingredients which I can understand, but for the most part the ingredients in her recipes are things most people who cook regularly should have on hand and if not the ingredients should be at your local grocery store. And the recipes themselves are easy to follow too so bonus! She has included 75 recipes covering breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert/treats. Plus some easy to make yourself staples like vegan butter, nut cheese, gravy, pie crust, bread and ranch dressing. I loved theses added bonuses. So even if you aren't looking to go fully vegan there are some excellent recipes to add into rotation. And check out her ig too @avirtualvegan she has tons of recipes posted there as well.
