Andrew Joseph White has very quickly shot up into my favourite authors list, and although this is probably my least favourite of everything I've read from him so far, it was still very clearly writen with so much time, care and pure love that I couldn't not enjoy it too. It felt very different from the other two books by White that I've read, and whilst I'd say I prefer the more direct horror this one certainly did not shy away from the gore and violence either. I'm very, very much looking forward to seeing what this author writes going forward.
