Slappy Birthday to You by R.L. Stine
3.0
Alright, it’s 12 in the morning, a lovely and creepy midnight, the time I get inspired to write reviews or call Satan, but 2 month have happened and I remember nothing of this book.
I only know it was another reused Slappy plot, in which they’re given or find an old creepy dummy, weird things start to happen, the main character is blamed for it, they say it was the dummy, they get punished, the dummy keeps doing things, they try to stop it, the parents get mad, punishes them again, the dummy does things and then the final battle, followed by an open end.
(The only new thing is that they learned about the magic words to bring Slappy alive by Google instead of an old book or smth, and that made all the mystery something inexistent).
So yeah, I gave it three stars, guess I didn’t hate it, but it was forgettable, because I remember almost nothing.
