Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel
3.0
I wanted to love this book, and it certainly has some compelling characters (although I felt like the book didn't explore any of their inner lives quite as much as I expected, except for Miranda's). I enjoyed a lot of the imagery, and I liked the writing style.
I think it just overall wasn't for me - the pacing didn't work for me, and I wanted a little less metaphor and a little more plot. To be fair, I probably should've expected that from the summary/marketing/reviews. I found myself really fixated on some of the unvisited times and unanswered questions of the world.
