The Awakening of Ivy Leavold by Sierra Simone

5.0

Hello Sierra Simone, how I've missed you!
I loved everything about this novel, except for the fact that it was barely 150 pages long!

The MC is obligated to move to Markham Hall, guest of her late cousin's husband, Mr. Markham, after her brother's death. She is strong and curious and doesn't like to be bossed around.
The love interest is mysterious, "morally gray" one could say, but I have a feeling he's just a sweetheart with armour to shield his beaten-up heart.

Notable mention: there is a particular scene in which Julian and Ivy have a steamy encounter in a small temple to escape the heavy rain and I LOVED EVERY SECOND OF IT, it gave me such Pride & Prejudice's "Will you marry me" and Bridgerton's "Wildest Dreams" vibes.
