Before I Let Go is a captivating journey of love, loss, and healing. This raw, emotionally heavy story of Yasmen and Josiah's second chance at love broke my heart from the very first chapter. Kennedy masterfully explores themes of depression, therapy, and personal growth, highlighting how communication and self-love are crucial in relationships.
Yasmen's journey of self-discovery was a powerful one. Watching her learn to love herself before fully loving someone else was inspiring. And Josiah? His character development, especially in confronting societal expectations about men and emotions, was beautifully done. It was refreshing to see therapy portrayed so positively and as a crucial part of the characters' growth.
Second chance romance isn't usually my favorite trope, but Kennedy's writing is simply beautiful, exploring complex issues without oversimplifying them making this a must-read.
Fair warning though: this book might wreck you emotionally, but in the best way possible ๐ฅนโค๏ธโ๐ฉน
