Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston

It would have been so much better if either:
1. Henry and Alex had to break up in order to win the elections.
OR
2. Henry and Alex being outted caused Ellen to lose the elections.

It was so difficult to get into this book, I didn't care for the strangely poetic emails or the character's dynamics. Disappointing.

And the discussion on politics?! Like I read this hoping to laugh at the odd romanticizion of politicians... and I GOT that.

HOWEVER. I listened to the whole thing. I was convinced enough to want to know what happened next and I didn't know where the story was going. It wasn't obvious and I enjoyed that a lot!
