WOW.
After hearing about the movie, I figured out just how much I needed to read this book, and if you know me at all, you know that I MUST read books before I watch their adaptations. My decision to read this beautiful piece of work was most definitely a good one. As I read through it, I realized just how much of an adult version of The Perks of Being a Wallflower it is. Some people may see this as a bad thing, but really, it is quite a great thing, actually! I loved Perks, and I also loved this novel. There are a lot of differences between the two, various elements that make each stand out as individual works.
Following the completion of the book, I'm very much looking forward--even more than before--to watching the movie.
