The Art of Forgetting by Camille Pagán

5.0

This book gripped me from the start. I related so much to Marissa with her fierce loyalty to her friend, despite the sacrifices she had to make in order to maintain the friendship. Also, knowing so many people who have had wonderfully similar experiences with Girls on the Run, I loved reading about Marissa's growth through being a coach. The story could have easily been just about Marissa and Julia and their struggles to get through the accident, but it was so much more deep with the relationships explored between Marissa and her boyfriend and also Marissa and her family. I read this book in 1 sitting, and highly recommend it.
