The Count of Monte Cristo [Abridged] by Alexandre Dumas

4.0

This is the ultimate long-range revenge fantasy wherein the bad people ultimately bring themselves down through their own vices and crimes. Very twisty and politically complicated. (I can understand why the 2002 movie adaptation made the cuts/changes they did, for sure.) The poison plot is especially complicated. But can I just say, Edmond is such a dummy - sure, let's TOTALLY stop off on Elba and do a package exchange and be the Patsy in a treason plot, omg who is that naive??? *facepalm*
