Fable by Adrienne Young

3.0

Well, I challenged myself to read this in 3 days for a readathon with friends of mine. If I failed I’d have to read a fantasy retelling of Pride and Prejudice with dragons and let’s just say I wasn’t about to sit and read a book like that so my only choice was to read this one!

And well...naturally, there’s good news and bad news.

✅I managed to finish this one last night. I read it in 3 days, which is unheard of for me
❌I wished it was a bit better. It fell really flat for me in many areas. I would describe this one as painfully average

Synopsis:
Fable is used to looking after herself. After all, she’s been on her own since the age of 14 after being dumped on an island by her well known trader father, Saint after a horrific ship accident that killed her mother. Fable spends her days on Jeval scalvaging and trading for any pieces of copper she can find until danger finds her in Jeval and she is forced to flee. She is then swept up on a journey with a crew working under her father who each carry their own burdens and secrets.
