Fun romance but really emotionally hard hitting. Iris's struggles with her father and having to take care of her brother spoke to me. Almost the entire beginning I was mad at the other characters for being frustrated with her actions because I've been in her shoes. Obviously she was a bit of a brat, but I loved how Cate identified that it was really her father speaking through her. It was an interesting take on family trauma and how it resonates through your own children. I am mad I don't get to know how the Elementia trilogy ends! Why should we be sad? I need answers!
