What an amazing book to end the Time River series!! Book after book in this whole series has been outstanding, but A.L. Jackson absolutely delivered with Hailey and Cody’s story to conclude all of them. The development of their story and romance kept me in a chokehold from beginning to end. The mystery and suspense unfolds piece by piece while also adding in all the tension, angst and emotion. And I can’t forget the most adorable side characters as well, her daughter Madison, and grandma, Lollie. Plus those nicknames too?!? Cocky cowboy, Button and Shortcake…all of them added the perfect touch to the story! Overall, this book was just outstanding storytelling that is so captivating and I cannot recommend this whole series enough!

🏞️Small Town
👨‍👧Single Mom

⚠️Heroine in Danger
😘Playboy Hero
👥Forced Proximity
🐴Workplace Romance

📖The story all begins one rainy night when Cody runs into his new neighbor and is surprised to see Hailey, the woman from his past he hasn’t seen in 6 years. Hailey is now a single mom and has just moved back to town with her daughter and grandma hoping for a fresh start away from her ex. There is a history between Cody and Hailey as they fight hard for their happily ever after with all the twists and mystery along the way!

🎧Audio Review:
Wow, the casting for this audiobook was spot on!! Stephen Dexter and Erin Mallon peform this one in a dual narration and completely emobided Hailey and Cody while giving life to Madison with their fantastic little kid voices as well. Stephen has a deep, yet smooth and sexy tone that was perfect for the cocky cowboy who is also protective as well. Then there is Erin whose voice is just so pleasing to listen to and her capability to bring out the emotion of the story, just captivates me every time! The way she can make you feel the love she has for her daughter but also feel the fear in her voice with the suspense. Overall, Stephen and Erin’s voices blended together so well as a couple while brining out the emotion of the story!! Such an incredibly easy listen! P.S. Make sure you listen to that epilogue…Stephen sings!!!!
