The Masks We Burn by Lee Jacquot

5.0

I read an advance copy of this book.

An enemies to lovers with fake engagement trope. Will and Amora have hated each other since their first meeting when Will turned down Amora and read her like a book.

Amora is counting the days til graduation where her mother expects to marry a rich guy that will take care of her and she is just a housewife. Hence the fake engagement Amora talks Will into to placate her mom for the moment.

Will is looking for something to replace the high feeling he used to get when playing football in high school. There is also a fight club he wants to get into that Amora’s dad runs - but you can only become a member if invited and is his condition for the fake engagement.

The tension between these two are so thick until they give into their desires for one another. Their love story is so amazing and I loved reading every word and seeing the both of them finding their true selves. Amora and Will have become my favorite couple of this series!! I love them all but Will and Amora are by far my favorite.
