Let's Talk About Love by Claire Kann

5.0

Okay okay okay, FIRST OF ALL, Iโ€™m gonna say that I have never smiled through a whole book before. None that I can remember! ๐Ÿ˜‚ This book was magnificent! And funny! And ADORABLE! I squealed a lot. Alice is so relatable! She is literally me. SHE IS ME! Like, she works in a library, loves to write about her favorite shows, looooves romance, HAS KINKY CURLY HAIR THAT IS BOMB AF, and she just stole my heart as soon as I flipped this book open.

SHE IS BLACK, QUEER AND UNAPOLOGETIC. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ Iโ€™m so happy i picked this book up, I never knew much about the asexual part of the lgbtq+ community and this book opened my eyes a bit. Thereโ€™s so much to learn! ๐Ÿ˜ This book is so lovely and fills my heart with ALL the good feelings when I see black girls on covers and positively portrayed in books. I didnโ€™t see it a lot when I was a teenager, but seeing it now makes me feel so good. ๐Ÿ˜ญ

TAKUMI! Wow did I love me some him. Heโ€™s so kind and knows how to properly communicate. ๐Ÿ˜‚ I canโ€™t recall how many times characters in other books would have a falling out and I would literally scream out loud, ๐Ÿ—ฃโ€IF YALL DONT TALK THIS SHIT OUT AND BE PATIENT WITH EACH OTHER!โ€ ๐Ÿ˜‚ Like literally.

I loved being apart of their journey getting to know each other. It was so sweet, slightly cringy at times and then oh so sweet at the end... Is that a spoiler? ๐Ÿค” Nah, I donโ€™t think so, lol. Iโ€™m definitely buying a copy of this book, okay? I need to have my own copy. If I could give this a 10/10 I would, lol. ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ’›
