Good intro
This sets up the series nicely and alludes to the kush scenery to come in terms of meta plot. While I was a bit disappointed in how some of this played out, and the reactions of the characters, I still found quite a bit of sympathy with the FMC and her confusing predicament. I wonder how she is going to cope, big just with the mate thing, but the mother issue....
Pros:
- Good first few pages, opened the story right up.
- The mark growth is unique.
- Leaves us with more questions.
Cons:
- Some info dump syndrome due to first book curse
- Reactions not always, or even remotely, understandable.
- World building is a bit muddled.
