One thing you can always count on in a book by Jeff Adams is strong communication between the characters.  I would call it a hallmark of his writing.  It does not mean that couples don't face problems just that they work through those problems with communication.  I love hockey player, Ethan Gallagher, and librarian, Andre Thompson.  The supporting characters were also wonderful bringing in characters from his other books and other books in the Love in Maplewood series.   I would recommend this book.
