A Journey Beyond by Alexandra Grace is the 4th book in the series and I absolutely loved this story!! I haven’t read the other books in the series and I have to go back to read them. I loved the characters, how close and tight she made the friendships. ⚠️Trigger Warning this book deals with with some heavy topics such as suicide, ptsd, mental health, POW, grief, abuse, alcoholism and family estrangement.

Sydney is a single mom to the cutest little boy named William. She was married to Will a marine veteran who suffered from PTSD and lost his life to suicide. Even though he was gone Wills ghost was still very much a part of her story. She was supporting her best friends Jackson and Emily open VETS. Which gave vets the help they needed that they couldn’t get from the government. She had a bff from high school Nora, who I loved!! Sydney has been through so much in her life and she doesn’t give up.

Logan is an marine veteran who is struggling not just from PTSD, but with some demons from his past, he also doesn’t feel like he deserves to loved. He’s afraid to get close to get close to Sydney let alone be loved by her or feel his love for her. He’s constantly running away and her love is so unwavering, she is always there to let him know she’s not going anywhere. Williams innocence and unconditional love for Logan softens his heart too.

At first I was annoyed like if he keeps bailing and ghosting her why does she keep chasing after him. This story tugged at my heart strings and was such an nice change!! Family is not blood and Sydney’s family consisted of her friends and William. I loved how she incorporated Will into Sydney’s love story with Will I just won’t say how. Their story was so well written and with it being written in 3rd person I got to see and feel what they were each going through all of the raw emotions they. I love a book that can make you feel like you are part of the story. Thank you to Alexandra Grace for letting me read this ARC in exchange for my honest review. I loved it!!! Go read it!! Well maybe start with book 1 and work your way to book 4.
