I struggle reading YA fiction for what it is and remembering not to judge it too hard for being overly simplistic, because of this simplicity this definitely read as being on the younger end of YA. I get what this is doing overall and I’m sure it’s been an important book for people but it feels overtly eutopic to the point that it flattens all of the characters
