Misadventures of a Rookie (Misadventures, #10) by Toni Aleo

4.0

I’ve hovering right around 3.5 stars for this one, but I loved how it wrapped up so I’m rounding to four. :)

I’ve read a bunch of Toni Aldo’s older sports romances and I adored them. I loved all the sport aspects of this one, but it did have a bit of a weak start for me at first. I found Gus was a bit too cocky and he was boastful about his hookups in a way that I didn’t particularly like. Thankfully, that part of his character seems to lessen once he and Bo hooked up, and by the end of the book he was making me swoon and the cocky swagger he still has was adorable and made me grin.

The best part of this one for me was seeing their relationship evolve. I loved seeing both Gus and Bo open themselves up to each other...they were super sexy together, but also utterly adorable! Thoroughly enjoyed this book and I’m looking forward to catching up to Toni’s books that I’ve missed more recently now. ;)
