Good information, but Litman's writing style -- where every chapter is based around a shoe-horned in pop-culture reference -- grated on me deeply. I get what Litman was going for, and I do hope it helped some readers find the material more approachable, but having to base discussion of the Supreme Court around half-sensible references to the Barbie film or Game of Thrones wasn't for me. Weirdly, the chapter in which the conceit worked the best is probably the Mean Girls section... though it is probably to the book's detriment that I remember it as "the Mean Girls section" instead of the actual content on the Supreme Court.
