This was a reread but this was fantastic. Like a shorter, more focused Fun Home, this book interwove other stories, played with sequencing, and utilized black and white art punctuated by one other shade (in this case, gray). The art did a lot to reflect the grief and heaviness, but I think the writing - its raw honesty - was what made this book so strong.
