After reading [b:Knight|13565914|Knight (Unfinished Hero, #1)|Kristen Ashley|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1333056159s/13565914.jpg|19143978], I couldn't wait to get started on this story! While it was a great read, it really wasn't as good as [b:Knight|13565914|Knight (Unfinished Hero, #1)|Kristen Ashley|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1333056159s/13565914.jpg|19143978] was.
Bad things had happened to Sylvie and Tucker/Creed and it forced Tucker away from Sylvie for years. When they're forced to work together, they get a second chance at romance. My problem was, Sylvie was a very unforgiving heroine, and it seemed like she used sex like a weapon between them, rather than a way to come together. Some of Sylvie's reactions seemed a little over the top and were thus unrealistic to me, but some of them I totally agreed with her on!
The story is told in both the present day, and flashing back to the past, before converging into the present day. While I don't normally like this kind of storytelling, for this book it worked for me. The mystery ramps up a bit in this story too, which made it a good story from a suspense angle as well.
What I like about these books is that they aren't as tied in to KA's other universes, which makes them easier to pick up and enjoy. I can't wait to see what she has in store for the next book in the series!
