This was a very strong ending to a great series. I absolutely loved how the author wrapped up this story and brought things to a conclusion of sorts. And I will say that the main characters really grew on me in this one. This book was not exactly character-driven, which is what I usually prefer, but the author created such an interesting world with plenty of action and tension, and while many of the characters started and remained somewhat sketched in, Emika, Hideo, and Zero became much more developed in this book, and while the individuals on Emika's team were slightly more developed than they were in the first book, the team as a whole was a strong entity in its own right. Additionally, there were quite a few twists in this book, some of which were not expected, so that was also very cool. The romance part of this series was also not the usual YA romance, which I appreciated. Overall, I really enjoyed this duology and I look forward to diving into other series by this author.
