Jack and Yani Love Harry Potter by Mary E. Twomey

4.0

I'm so glad I finally got around to reading this book, as I've been wanting to since I read about it on MuggleNet -- yes, I'm THAT nerd. And I absolutely adored it. As a Harry Potter fangirl (not so much a Twilight one), I found myself squealing and giggling and feeling-all-the-feels when reading Jack and Yani. It also made me realize how important it is that my someday-husband loves Harry Potter. Serioiusly. It's really important.

Overall I can see how, objectively speaking, this book could be deemed average. And I think that yes, the book wasn't meant to be all that "meaningful" and the writing was certainly clumsy-ish in some places. But what it lacks stylistically, it makes up for in heart. I don't even really know how to fully describe it, other than to say that if you're the type to fangirl -- or fanboy -- over anything, Twomey has written the perfect light read for you.

Random note: Big Carl (the man himself or anything that has to do with him) is more fantastic than I can say in words.
