luis_989 's review for:
The Handmaid's Tale
by Margaret Atwood
I was honestly hoping for a stronger and more explicit book.
Not in violence, or anything like that, but as in almost all passages, the writer forces us to imagine most of the details.
The epilogue that's set in the future makes you wonder about it even more.
Explanations are void, and while the character may have had her choice to express her story in that way, all responsibility for the narrative gaps belongs to the writer.
I liked it. But with huge reservations.
