nrskelley 's review for:
We Are All Guilty Here
by Karin Slaughter
dark
sad
tense
slow-paced
This is one where I wish I could give half stars on certain sites
I found the first part of the book to be riveting. I was instantly sucked into the story, but as the second part of the book began I felt the story slowed down. It probably didn’t help that a huge amount of characters were being tossed around as suspects by this point. Several times I went back to remember who did what prior.
This is all told from Emmy’s POV. There is a 12 year time jump that happens about halfway through.
I think that if you like police procedurals with lots of extra twists thrown in this might be the book for you.
Be aware that there are a ton of triggers in this book so check your TW before delving in. For me just a safe 3.5/5.
