Gives me Saltburn vibes

The writing in parts is excellent where you get pulled along. However I'm going to stop buying books that are 'Thriller of the Year' or media personality picks because ultimately the endorsements are not worth it.

Early on I guessed an element of the plot, and it was a slog at times just to find out that yes I was right in my thinking. It was also a bit mediocre posh-boy at times and it was sad that everyone except the main character could see this. The main character tries to blend in but still stands apart.

The rights to the book have been bought to be made into a TV series and I think it would be interesting to see how that plays out.
