Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins

I don’t think this book was executed well.

I had lots of problems with this particular sequel to the phenomenal hunger games.

First of all, this was just so slow. It felt as if nothing happen it took me forever just to read the first half of this book. Then when I read the second half I was just skimming the pages. I was expecting so much more. I felt as if the second and third book could be merge.

Second of all, I hate the characters. Well I don’t hate all of them. But I can’t tolerate Katniss, her noble decision seems like rash move instead of brave actions. Also Gale! Gale is so annoying. I didn’t mind him in the first book. But why does Gale have to be so rude, he would scarify innocent just to get his revenge. I do not agree with that and I never will.

Peeta, I still love him. He’s so sweet. He cares about others more than himself and it’s refreshing to see Peeta viewing Katniss for who she truly is.

Another complaint is the killing. So many people got killed but it was done in such a fast pace, making it felt rush. Like Finnick. Okay basically the mutt killed him. But there was no remorse. Not even a moment to consider. I know considering the situation they are in, they don’t have time. But nothing even after. The only affect I saw was Prim was killed.

I find overall this book really wasn’t as I expected and the characters really affected my enjoyment of this book.
