Ties That Tether
by Jane Igharo
Maybe I’m biased because the author is Nigerian or because the protagonist is an eldest daughter in an African household like I am, but I don’t care, I really really liked this book.
I’m not a big fan of romance but I found myself laughing, crying and even yelling at the book like a crazy person. The author made a very enjoyable approach to the dynamics of interracial relationships and the expectations that African parents have of their children, specifically their eldest daughters.
