I read the first 3/4th of the book prettty quickly but struggled to finish. The first person narrative was very simplistic as if you were being told the story. The chapters were quick vignettes which I enjoyed but sometimes wished for more depth and filled out story. It was an interesting look at a woman who came out as a lesbian later in life. I rated it three stars because while I was fascinated by the structure of the novel I wasn’t always compelled by the story itself. I liked it more for inspiration for my own writing then as a story I was moved by. I gave it 3 stars because I didn’t dislike it, but I don’t partially love it either.
