The Tyger by Tegan Moore

5.0

The Tyger is a wonderful short story and I don't understand why it's at a 3.2 rating.

The main character is a child on the verge of losing that childlike wonder and feeling, already the adult world and pain are creeping in, but childlike fantasy is still the dominant factor. The wonderful turns of phrase and descriptions almost let you feel that again, too.

And then the anger hits like a ton of bricks.

It's such a poetic way to explore that ecotone between puberty and childhood. I was blown away.
