Outdrawn

Two very likeable characters with a largely sweet and subtly spicy story. Total and complete lack of conflict between the two and their worlds after growing up despising each other was a bit sanitized for me. Also a lot of therapized language during their moment together in a way that feels overwrought. Definitely enjoyed this light read while I was working but don’t think it’s knock the doors down a must read. Also, I listened to this book as an audiobook and something about the narrator really grated me, specifically Sage’s narrator’s vocalizations of Noah. The reader made her almost sound childish, in a young boy in a cartoon way. Really not into that and pulled me out of the story every time. Half star for queer stories!
