Faithless by Karin Slaughter

I felt like Slaughter didn't sharpen her sword quite as sharply in this volume than in her previous books. In some ways, that was nice because it made it less disturbing to read. But in the long run, I think it made for a less effective book.

In addition to solving the crime(s) around them, Slaughter's books are also about the characters: mainly Sara, Jeffrey, and Lena. And they all spent the course of the book waffling - Sara and Jeffrey about their relationship and Lena about her mental health and abusive relationship with Ethan. I feel like I need for them all to move forward in one way or another!
