The Little Stranger by Sarah Waters
4.0
I read this book because it was suggested as similar gothic psychological horror, but contemporary to 'We Have Always Lived In The Castle' which I really loved. Though takes place in Britian after WW2
This was def longer, and maybe less ominous/lurky than it could have been had been shorter but I still enjoyed it.
I was finishing the last pages as I was brushing my teeth and I turned out the light a little too soon & grazed the shower curtain, which crinkled and I really freaked myself out :,-)
So, the book got me to ~that~ headspace for sure & it was fun to read.
