The Other Boleyn Girl
by Philippa Gregory
Blah. I listened to one CD of the story, which seemed to take FOREVER, and I dreaded listening to any more of it. It seemed so predictable. Basically you can read the back cover as to what the story is about and it tells you all you need to know right there. From that outline you can see the story and the plot coming a mile away. I gave it two stars as maybe if I was more into historical fiction I wouldn't find it all so boring. And maybe it's me coming off of my The Handmaid's Tale scare but I just couldn't enjoy another story of a woman (girl in this case) being used by family and by some schmuck in power as a sexual pet and a body to do with as they please. There is no appeal to reading more of the same upsetting story.
