Here We Go Again by Alison Cochrun

Did not finish book. Stopped at 70%.
Probably one of my biggest disappointments of 2024. I fucking love Allison Cochrun. I loved her debut so much and her Christmas romance was perfect, but this release was not readable for me. What drives me crazy the most is that the potential is there!

I loved that the love interests were teachers since my background was in education for over ten years and that the plot surrounded a road trip. It's an actual road trip story, too. Not like those books that tease you with a road trip cover, but they're only in the car for two chapters. This one is a real one! They travel, there's drama, the plot was great.

These two ladies are driving their former teacher across the country as his dying wish, which is heartbreaking. The plot and Joe's storyline was the only reason I got this far.

Okay onto the gross: I hated the two main characters. They're teacher stereotypes and it made my skin crawl. Rosemary is the uptight teacher and Logan is the relaxed, cool teacher. Aside from stereotypes, there's one phrase that repears over and over again that had me put down the book.

I'm a visual person and hearing Logan describe Rosemary's puckered mouth as a cat's asshole (and how she wanted to kiss it) was just too much for me. It made all of their romance scenes gross to me.
