This was a very highly anticipated read for me and it definitely lived up to the hype! Why did I put this off for so long?! I got that 5 star feeling from very early on in the book. It had me laughing out loud on one page and crying on the next—my emotions really went through it with this one. I was in and out of a slump while reading this so it took me quite a while to finish it, but I enjoyed every last minute of their story. 

 

I absolutely adored Johnny and Shannon! Their story was a slow burn that burned SO GOOD! Shannon’s story is absolutely heartbreaking, I just wanted to protect her at all costs. She is so strong and just the sweetest! And Johnny—this boy! I loved him. He was the perfect balance of sweet and protective. The way he was looking out for her/protecting her from the very beginning was everything! I need a Johnny in my life please. 

 

I loved the found family feel and the side characters (mainly Gibsie and Claire) were the best!! I can’t wait for their book in the future🤞🏼 I’m also excited for Joey and Aofie’s story next, it’s gonna be a heartbreaking one.  

 

If you haven’t read this book yet, DO IT!!
