"You also know I'm yours. Helplessly, devotedly, yours."
It's been years since I read The Great Gatsby in high school. I loved the book when reading it for my English class. It was one of my top 3 favorites that I read in school. I don't remember all the details of the book, but while reading this retelling, I was able to jog my memory of events from the original to this retelling.
The Great Gatsby with vampires? I mean, who could pass that up?
A modern, supernatural twist on a classic that was absolutely flawless. I highly recommend this book.
Characters:
Jay- a hopeless romantic and protector and a Swoon worthy book boyfriend.
Daisy - Struggling with her self-worth after a nasty breakup and taking back her worth. Subtle but great character development for her.
Nick- Daisy's cousin who is absolutely adorable. Love his banter with Daisy.
Jordan- Tough cookie that one, a daredevil. Loved her character. Total badass.
Overall, the characters were loveable and relatable, which makes the reading experience better.
⚫️ Friends to lovers
⚫️Supernatural creatures
⚫️Bite play
⚫️Strong female lead
⚫️Protective male lead
As always, please check trigger warnings. Mental health matters... More importantly, you and your mental health matter.
