So, this is one of the few series I've read lately that actually got way better as it went. I almost feel like it could have just been one book though? The first book only got a 1-star rating from my because I was left thinking "what the fuck?" - if there had just been a little bit more explanation before all the ridiculousness ensued, I would have been sucked in from the start. I debated continuing and gave in because I just. can't. stop. when it comes to series, no matter how much of a trainwreck they are.
So anyway, this book specifically. Good. Really good. Highly entertaining, you're fully invested in the characters by this point. There is action. There is suspense. There is romanticalness. <- yep, that's a word. Rhyn got his shit together and everyone lived happily ever after. Except, not really. (no spoilers!)
I don't really know if I would actually recommend this series to anyone... you'd have to really be into the whole paranormal fantasy demon/hell/immortals kind of thing (which I'm not but find entertaining enough).
